I am asking Christmas shoppers in Exeter to have their say on policing in Devon and Cornwall when my office's community engagement team visits Princesshay on Thursday (December 14).

I am currently asking people who live in the force area to complete my Your Safety, Your Say survey as I make decisions on the police budget for the next financial year.

The survey can be completed online or over the phone in around five minutes. Participants are asked to respond to questions about the amount they pay through their council tax for policing and what areas of policing they would like more investment in.

Anyone wanting to discuss the survey or policing in their area can speak to the my office's team, and complete the survey, at Your Safety, Your Say roadshows this winter.

“Seeking views from members of the public is one of my core duties. In recent years the public’s views have helped set my policing priorities of tackling antisocial behaviour, drugs, dangerous driving and violent crime, as well as letting me know there is huge support for our policy of reopening police stations.

“I want people of all ages and backgrounds to help me again by taking a few minutes to take part in this survey.”

The roadshow has already visited Torquay and Exeter University. It is due to be at the following locations in the next fortnight:

·       Exeter, Bedford St: Thursday, December 14 , 4pm - 6pm

·       Barnstaple, Tesco, Rose Lane: Monday, December 18, 11.30am - 1.30pm

·       Falmouth, The Moor: Thursday, December 21, Midday - 1.30pm

·       St Austell, Alymer Sq: Thursday, December 21, 2.45pm - 4.15pm

·       Plymouth, Tesco, Transit Way: Thursday, December 28, 11am - 1pm

Any changes to the above timings and locations will be communicated via Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner social media accounts.
